For the past two weeks a section of Minories has been closed in London's Square Mile. The intersection where it meets Crosswall and Portsoken Street was experiencing issues with shallow depth and subsequently issues were arising with services and sub-strata infrastructure, ultimately leading to a failure of the highway. The solution was to raise the junction, thereby providing more cover to the services and London Underground tunnels, using materials which are durable enough but will not force an imposed load on the aforementioned structures underneath. Huge thanks to my counterparts at FM Conway Ltd for the construction of the scheme, mostly notable Ryan Hutchins, Scott Carter and Ian Neville.
