Kevin Blake Alder shot Pl ant Manager

I have been in the industry for 13 years, having worked for AI’s, United Asphalt, and FM Conway for the last four and a half years. My favorite part of working for FM Conway is the people, how we all pull together on a job. We are a tight knit team. That relationship makes each day enjoyable and keeps everyone motivated. I am proud of being promoted to Aldershot Plant Manager and look forward to all the challenges ahead.

In the 1st issue we introduced to your dedicated Plant Managers. Since then there have been some internal promotions, with both Simon Hawthorn and Josh Ward taking on larger roles with more responsibility; a sign of our commitment to developing our own people. To fill the role of Aldershot Plant Manager, we are pleased to introduce you to Kevin Blake, and to fill the role of Croydon Plant Manager, Tony Noble.

We also would like to introduce you to your

customer service’s team, in order to help put a face to a name to whom you usually deal with over the telephone.

Manager. So far everyone has been extremely welcoming and helpful. My induction programme has seen me spend time on-site at Croydon, visit Conway House and the Technology Centre and Bitumen Terminal at Gravesend. I look forward to learning more about the business and establishing myself in my role and sharing my experiences with the team.

We are based at FM Conway’s Head Office in Sevenoaks and work alongside the Internal Sales team in order to help you with all your asphalt and aggregate requirements.

T99 Spray T99 is a safe, economical and cost- effective alternative to using diesel, which is less environmentally-friendly and damages asphalt. T99 prevents build-up of bitumen on plant, equipment and work tools. It is available at Conway Collect sites in 10L drums and can be purchased along with a 2L spray bottle to help use the product efficiently. Save £10 when buying both items together.

Croydon

Meet Croydon Asphalt Plant, a high-performing operation, providing a flexible service to its many customers. Croydon is a crucial part of London’s construction industry infrastructure. Not only does the plant supply asphalt to FM Conway’s Term Maintenance contracts for several local London Boroughs, it also provides Collect customers with a dedicated service from the early hours of the morning throughout the working day and into the evening. Whether you’re reinstating a utility trench, repairing a local footway or installing a new driveway, Croydon will help you complete the project successfully. As the market trends see suppliers move towards larger, less flexible asphalt plants, Croydon fills a gap in the market, offering the

facility to collect small batches of asphalt. Split loads are accommodated easily and the site team prides itself on short turnaround times, meaning customers can get on with the day’s work. The product range is also varied; in addition to standard AC, HRA and SMA mixes, Croydon manufactures a suite of porous asphalt products, more specialist mixes such as HRA 15/10 and Greenpatch. Greenpatch is a permanent pothole and patch repair cold layer asphalt developed using biodegradable softener that reduces the dependence for petroleum derived products. Greenpatch is available in bags as well as loose.
