New roles on the Conway Board: David Donnelly (Chief Financial Officer), Andrew Hansen (Chief Operating Officer), and myself (Chief Executive Officer). The aim of the changes is to allow us to plan further ahead – to see a little further ‘round the corner’.

became Chief Financial Officer. This brought him into line with myself and Andrew, and acknowledged the central role he would be playing over the coming years. The second change had already happened when Joanne Garwood, my daughter, had joined the Board earlier in the year. Joanne’s achievements with Central Services had been impressive, but as I say this wasn’t about rewarding the past. What impressed me more and more was Joanne’s passion for every aspect of the business. The company, and the Board, were going to need as much of that as they could get.
