When the Queen visited the completed Gardens, they were renamed The Queen’s Gardens in her honour. In the picture, you can see shutter work being done on the steps leading up to the new circular terrace. You can also see a couple of Conway lorries (in Conway Green, of course) and you can just make out the name Penge Plant Hire on their sides.
