Now an independent charity in its own right, the London Construction Academy (LCA) has been changing lives since 2014. The Board of Trustees, made up of representatives from the construction community, are passionate about delivering real change for disadvantaged groups in society, especially young people not in education, employment or training (NEETs). Based on an original idea by Michael Conway OBE, FM Conway has been integral to the LCA since its formation. While the LCA offers essential certifications required to enter the industry, it provides so much more. Student welfare is absolutely fundamental to the LCA. As part of the programme, individuals receive a fully funded travel card and complimentary daily lunch throughout the course. This ensures they can focus entirely on learning and training without worrying about costs.
