Equity, Diversity and Inclusion – All Great People At FM Conway, we strive to embed equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) throughout every level of our business. All Great People is our EDI strategy, which reflects our commitment to making FM Conway a welcoming and inclusive place for everyone in our diverse and ever-evolving society. We’re proud that inclusion and diversity are part of who we are. This commitment helps us attract top talent, drive innovation and share best practice across the business. Women into Construction Our long-term goal is for women to represent 30% of our workforce by 2030. To help achieve this, we are implementing a number of approaches. FM Conway is working hard to promote career pathways and opportunities portraying females that challenge stereotypes, ensuring we actively collaborate with industry partners such as National Highways, Transport for London (TfL), and the Civil Engineering Contractor Association (CECA) to develop new initiatives. These include TfL’s Women in Transport and Engineering (WiTnE) programme, which supports long-term unemployed women back into the workplace, and partnerships with schools to provide female-only work experience programmes.

We host bi-annual Women’s Day

Apprenticeships provide an excellent way to shape the long-term makeup of our workforce and the future of our business. Of our newest cohort, 25% are female, with six in operational roles.

For the many women who work for us, but who do not aspire to leadership roles, we introduced ‘Personal Best’. This programme supports women to be their best and most confident selves.
